21st-23th February 2005: 7 th IASTED International Conference on Web-based Education
"The International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED), is a non-profit organization founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1977. The purpose of IASTED is to promote economic development through science and technology. This goal is achieved through the more than 300 conferences IASTED has organized in over 25 countries around the world. After 25 years, IASTED continues to bring top scholars and members of industry together to develop and share new ideas, facilitate cultural exchange and encourage international unity.
The IASTED International Conference on Web-Based Education (WBE 2005) will be held from February 21-23, 2005 in picturesque Grindelwald, Switzerland. As keyboards replace chalkboards, the Web’s impact on traditional educational theories and practices are increasingly apparent. It has transformed and expanded the conventional boundaries of education. WBE 2005 is aimed to provide scholars, faculty, researchers, and administrators in all web-based educational areas with an excellent opportunity to convene with colleagues from approximately 50 countries and discuss innovative ideas, results and outcomes of research in this new and exciting field.
Nestled in the heart of the Jungfrau region of the Swiss Alps, Grindelwald is an ideal location for any event. Grindelwald offers 360 degrees of breathtaking natural scenery, a relaxing atmosphere, and countless outdoor activities. "
